I'm on a mission to capture love stories in a way that's personal, romantic and uniquely you. I can't wait to be a part of your precious moments and create photographs that actually make you feel.

Hi, I'm monica

It’s been quite some time since I’ve blogged anything. Life has been really crazy and exciting all at once and before I knew it, I blinked and a year passed by. I have a ton of weddings, couples, and families to blog about that I’ve been lucky enough to photograph over the last year – but before I share all of that goodness, I’m going to share a little piece of my life with you. So I’m gonna get realll personal with you…

Last year, on March 27, 2016, my husband and I were getting ready to pack up our car and head to San Diego for a family camping trip. We were busying ourselves, gathering all the necessities for our trip when I decided to take my last pregnancy test. I had taken a few during the week, which all came back negative and I had one left. I was hopeful, but considering I’d literally gotten a negative two days before, I was expecting the same outcome. So I took the test and didn’t even stand by and wait the longest 5 minutes ever, I simply set the test on the counter and went about my packing. I went back into the bathroom to check it, maybe 10 minutes later, and there on my bathroom counter were the words PREGNANT staring back at me. I grabbed the test and stared at it for a second, my heart pounding in excitement, and yelled for my husband to come here. As he walked toward me, I showed him the positive test and said “We’re having a baby!!” In that moment, if felt like the whole world stopped. I’d finally said it out loud. We embraced as tears ran down our faces. This was it. We were pregnant.

Fast forward to 40 longgggg weeks later and we’re packing up our hospital bags, getting ready to head to the hospital to finally meet the little girl that had been kicking and rolling around in my belly. Our daughter, Sadie Grace Duny was born on February 3, 2017 at 6:39pm, weighing 8 pounds 15 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long. She was born on her due date, not exactly the way I envisioned but came to us healthy and happy. We are overjoyed to have her in our lives. She is everything I ever dreamed of, hoped for, wished for and prayed for.  She is 4 months old now and my goodness, that time has seriously flown by. It’s been hard. It’s been exhausting. But it’s also been the absolute BEST. I cannot put into words how much I love her.

Here are some amazing images captured by two amazing photographers, Jenna Clark and Veronica Coleman, from when Sadie was a newborn.
